“one of the best vacations ever!!!” I stayed at this beach house over memorial weekend. This house was the perfect beach house with an amazing location and view. The house was very well equipped and we felt very comfortable staying there. it was a great weekend for my family and the kids had the best time playing in the ocean most of the day. Amber was very responsive to anything we needed and she made us feel very at home. I would highly recommend this house and I do plan on going back someday!

About Malibu

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Malibu is one of the most visually appealing cities in Southern California. While you're in Malibu, be sure to make time for some of these must-see attractions and destinations:

  • Pepperdine University: Ascending up from the Pacific Coast Highway, this university is consistently rated as having the most beautiful campus in the country.
  • Highland Parks: In addition to stunning views of the coast, there are also a few scenic trails which are great for jogging.
  • Malibu Pier: The Pier recently underwent a $10 million renovation, leading to several new shops and restaurants opening up within walking distance.
  • Adamson's House: This is the former home of the original owners of Malibu in the 19th century and still remains largely intact.
  • Go to the Beach: There are several beaches to spend some time at during your time in Malibu. Zuma Beach and Surfrider Beach are the most popular ones.

No matter when you decide to visit the area, there are a wide range of events and festivals to take part in. Head to the Malibu International Film Festival in late-April, watch or take part in the Polar Plunge held every February at Zuma Beach. If you visit during Labor Day weekend, take the foodies in your family or group of friends to the Malibu Chili Cookoff, an intense competition amongst some of the best chefs in the California. In southern Malibu closer to downtown LA, North Hollywood, Hollywood and Santa Monica than other farther places in northern Malibu. Great kitchen. On site free parking. Listen to the waves in living room or bedroom while sleeping. Great tv with hbo, netflix, hulu amazon and others. Well equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, coffee maker and keuring. Wonderful Vacation Getaway and Private Gathering Space

We had a marvelous time, a beautiful wedding and a lovely stay at this fabulous home in Malibu. We made a 3-day stay of it: The first day our family (bride's mom, dad, brother, the minister and a couple kids) stayed to prepare for our daughter's wedding and to have a casual Rehearsal dinner for the wedding party in the evening; The next day we had a beautiful wedding in the gazebo, situated on the ample lawn-area, with a reception and dinner outdoors in the same space. In the evening, we moved the activity up to the large beautiful deck (overlooking the Pacific - a fantastic sunset view!), and into the living-room/dining area for music and dancing. The next day, we all cleared out and left the newlyweds to enjoy the large, wonderful space to themselves for one more day and night. So, we got the best of everything this place has to offer rolled into one: A fun family getaway; a perfect wedding event; a peaceful honeymoon retreat. All of our guests marveled at the wonderful space - inside and out. The kids had non-stop fun exploring the massive yard that's perfect for hide-and-seek or for playing ball. The hot tub and upper deck area was a great treat for those of us prepping for the activities. We also took advantage of the nearby beach access at La Piedra State Beach ($8 parking, or park on road & walk in). Who knew there were still any long stretches of beach in Southern California that you could have to yourself?! It was amazing. The newlyweds hope to come back for their 1st anniversary. They were totally in love with the place! We all loved it, and heard many great comments from all the people who came by for the event, as well as from those who stayed. I know it will be our first choice whenever we make future plans for Malibu. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting a beautiful, peaceful getaway or a magnificent space for a party or event. … see more

Best. Vacation.Ever!

My daughter and I took an impromptu trip to get away from the awful winter we were enduring. This place was beyond our expectations. Perfect for 2 people,it offers amazing Pacific views from each room,and you couldn't ask for better hosts than Nancy and Larry. We got familiar with the area quickly, thanks to invaluable information provided by our hosts. We enjoyed many activities in and around the Malibu area as well the greater la area. We are definitely coming back! The place was stocked with everything we needed to get started on our week. It is ideal for 2 people but could accommodate 1 or 2 more people, and we may bring them with us next time. We found that we love this part of the country and will return. This is the Spot!

My family and I from Winnipeg stayed here for a week and loved every moment of it. The house is clean, functional, and very well located in Malibu. The access to the beach and nearby restaurants is excellent. If you are not afraid of cooking a few home cooked meals during a vacation, for a family of 3-5 people this is an ideal and very reasonably priced California option.
