“Carib Isles Dance Group” I booked this apt for the location to Marcus Garvey Park for the dance group of 6 and I have to say that we all had a great time. Milton is a great host. I know he was skeptical about the group but I think we resolved that. Our guest was able to visit and we had easy access to transportation and shopping. The stairs was a bit but we look at it as great exercise after all that good food we ate. I am looking forward to next year's caribbean festival and hope to be able to book the same place.

“Amazing apartment” A total of 8 of us stayed at this apartment. We are university students and not only was it really affordable but it was much better than we expected. The apartment was very clean and there is plenty of space, both for socialising and sleeping. The apartment is located very close to various subway stations and this makes it really easy to travel, around 10 or 15 minutes to Times Square. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning in the future!

Spectacular Garden Arpartment in historical Harlem

New York City house

“Delightful apartment with delightful owner” This apartment is the perfect size for two people, and well situated close to the subway, so all of Manhattan is easily reached. The apartment is beautifully decorated and fully equipped, and as it is on the ground floor, very handy for us older folk. This was our second stay in one of Milton Wilson's apartments. He is so warm, friendly and helpful that we would never stay anywhere else if we return to New York. Harlem is a fascinating area with plenty of shops and restaurants. Though a noisy main street is nearby, the apartment is quiet and peaceful. I would certainly recommend this or the other apartments in the building to anyone else visiting New York.

“Great Stay, Great Unit, Great Owner, Great savings!!!” I know vacation rentals in NYC are controversial, and consensus on the web seems to be: Don't, it's too risky. I'm here to say it can be done, just do your homework first. This place was way above expectations. Four adults and a child were able to stay here at less than half of what it would cost for a couple low budget hotel rooms in mid-town. The owner could not have been more friendly or responsive, we emailed & texted each other repeatedly. She was full of advice about what to do, where to eat, how to get there, etc. She made the process of booking, and checking in and out very easy. She went above and beyond, like leaving food for our arrival, or sending out our laundry as the washer was broken. It was like staying with a friend. The unit was very nice, the kitchen and bath were newly remodeled. It was roomy enough that on our last night there, we cooked dinner & had a small party with 13 people in the living room at one point! The building and street were beautiful and historic, clean, fairly quiet, and safe. Great trees! One night my wife and I sat on stoop, had a glass of wine and the only other people we saw were hustling back and forth to the subway. It was a 1/2 block to the subway, and from there, quick cheap and easy to get anywhere in Manhattan. One caveat is that not everyone will be comfortable walking around in Harlem, especially at night, though you probably need to take it block by block. On some of the other streets, we encountered some people who were loud and profane, but we never felt threatened or unsafe. That being said, if you don't want to go out to a Harlem restaurant or club at night, you can safely walk to or from the subway even late in the evening. Or take a cab. Between the low rates, the close-by subway, and eating in, the savings just piled up. We were able to do the near impossible - Manhattan on a budget!

“Perfect location and an easy walk to the trains” Apartment was very clean and had beautiful art and high ceilings. Exceptionally quiet for such an active area. Fantastic bars and restaurants right outside the lobby door. We had a fantastic time and Kira is a great host. If you want to experience all that NYC has to offer, this is the perfect launching spot.

“Amazing days in Harlem” To be at Marylin house is simply amazing. She and all family treat you so well that you think your are at home in NYC. If you also have concerns about privacy it is a very good choice. You have your own space and all you need in a very organized way. Neighborhood is great. Everybody should have the opportunity to share some days and nights in the heart of Central Harlem where the people still say Good Morning and look you nicely in the face. Metro 4 block. Central Park walking 12 block and a very good way to know NYC way of life. All was perfect! And I am a hard critic for accomodation.

“Peace of Mind and Convenience in the "Big apple"!” We are from NY Harlem but have been living abroad in Dubai for the past 10 years. Our first positive impression of the owner and our host, Milton Wilson, was when he actually returned our call inquiring about the apartment -- he actually returned our call to Dubai! We booked and stayed at Mr. Wilson's townhouse for two weeks in august 2013. Our original plan was to stay 3 days at a hotel downtown and then move to Harlem. The hotel we booked downtown was horrendous so we called Mr. Wilson after the first night and asked if we could come earlier than our reservation of 3 days later. Mr. Wilson said "come on" and re-arranged his schedule during a torrent rainstorm to meet and get us settled in. He has several rentals in and around Harlem so he has the resources that allow him flexibility. More importantly, as most of Mr. Wilson's guests are coming from places which require long, ardurous flights. Being a man of the world himself, he is understanding and compassionate about the plights of long-distance travelers. We waited for Mr. Wilson about a half-hour; but, within the hour, he had us "tucked-in" a beautiful, warm, dry and secure second-floor apartment overlooking the perfectly groomed garden visible from the bedroom. Mr. Wilson is a walking encyclopedia of Harlem-its history and development-and stands ready and willing to disclose that knowledge just for the asking. Yea, he's very busy; an architect by trade, but also a natural businessman and conversationalist who loves to chat; and, above all, an ardent listener. He's not intrusive; but will always, no matter how busy, make time for his guests. The perfect location is convenient to everything. I intend to re-visit Milton's townhouse very soon and highly recommend the beautiful stay to all our international family and friends who want a comfortable, safe, unobtrusive, "home away from home" in the great -- but chaotic and ever-changing -- metropolitan of New York (even if you think you know it well)!

Chelsea/Manhattan Spacious Modern 2br Apt

New York City apartment

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Superb location” We were lucky to stay in Kamala's apartment in July this year. It's very spacious for a New York apartment and very well-situated. It's right in the centre of Chelsea which gives you so many options. It's a little off the beaten tourist track but you get to live like a local. It's still very accessible with two subway lines only a few minutes walk. Penn Station is only a few block north. Chelsea is a great base to explore Manhattan. It's lively and has great restaurants and food (and nightlife if you're into that). We felt quite safe in this area. Our two daughters, who travelled with us, are gluten-free (coeliac)and we were a little worried about catering for them based on an earlier stay in midtown Manhattan. Chelsea was an eye-opener. Our daughters had some of the best gluten-free options they had eaten anywhere, all a short walk from the apartment. Facilities in the apartment were great. As it's Kamala's home when she's not away, there's nothing you would want. We were there in a heatwave but the air-conditioning made it quite tolerable. The only drawback is that it is on 8th ave and so can be a bit noisy at times in the front of the apartment if you're a light sleeper. It didn't really bother us.

“Perfect Place in Manhatten” I reluctantly give a Garden in Chelsea a rave review. My reluctance is pure selfishness. If I tell you how great it is, it will only become more difficult to book it for myself. Seriously, great owners, beautiful space, perfect location. Book it if you can.

“Lovely House and Lovely Host!” Our group had an incredible weekend away thanks to this lovely house and all it's comforts. Dennis was such a pleasure- he showed us around and then let us enjoy. When a snowstorm hit the region, he helped us by sending over his brother in law to plow, and when we accidentally left something behind he was very sweet about sending it back. I couldn't recommend this house more!

“Best decision ever!” Our stay in New York was fantastic, with many thanks to Blanca and Teddy. They were so welcoming, accomodating and understanding from start to finish! They gave us great ideas of things to do, and really gave us insight into how New Yorkers live. Cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, they are genuinely lovely people! would highly recommend this apartment to anyone going to New York. As two young girls, we were concerned about safety, we had nothing to worry about!! The area was lovely, and Blanca and Teddy ensured us they were there if we needed anything! They went truly above and beyond! Much more than any hotel would ever have offered. The bed was very comfortable, apartment meticulously clean, shower was fantastic and apartment had everything we needed, including the supermarket and subway, just around the corner.

Beautiful Full Sunny Apartment in Harlem New York

“Very Enjoyable, The Owner was welcoming, Beautiful, Clean Apartment!!” This was a wonderful area of Harlem, close to all methods of transportation. Also a very vibrant area with multiple choice of restaurants and live music. It is also near to several beautiful parks, most well known would be central park. The Apartment was well kept, beautiful and clean, also very welcoming. There is a lovely laundromat a few feet away at the corner of the street. There is also a wonderful farmers market, every Tuesday outside the famous Adam Clayton Powell Building, on 125th Street. This was a wonderful experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this 'Beautiful Clean Apartment'!!

“The Apartment with Everything” Location was even better than I thought it would be. Ferry to Wall Street or midtown Manhattan was only a 5 minute walk, bus was a few hundred yards away which would take us to subway and a transfer ticket is included to travel on both forms of transport. Supermarket and restaurants close by. All in all we loved our stay in Astoria. The apartment has everything you would want, loads of space and lots of information available on New York is left out. Not that you would need that as Julian and Diane are so obliging and helpful, it was a delight to meet them and we also loved meeting young Maurice, a lovely fun loving boy. Thank you Julian and Diane, I certainly picked the right property.

About New York City

From the Empire State Building to the Staten Island Ferry, New York offers dozens of world famous attractions and a variety of things to see and do that will keep you busy whether you intend to stay for a day, a week, or the rest of your life. If you'd like to see a show on Broadway, you may want to book your tickets ahead of time, and if you plan to enjoy an evening at one of New York City's award winning restaurants, you may want to make a reservation. But there are so many entertainments in this dazzling city of lights that even if you arrive with no plan at all, you may still find yourself having the trip of a lifetime.

During the daylight hours, take advantage of New York City's museums, open air parks, and famous sights like the Statue of Liberty. Sightseeing tours are available by bus, boat, car, or bike, and since New York is one of the most walkable cities in America, you can find almost anything on foot as well.

Here are a few destinations you won't want to miss:

  • Central Park: Created in the 1860s as a natural escape from the urban rush, Central Park encompasses acre after acre of green lawns, fountains, bridges, trees, and lakes.
  • Metropolitan Museum of Art: Spend a day at this renowned showcase of the world's greatest works of art, including pieces by Picasso, Pollack, and Matisse.
  • New York Public Library: Two legendary lion statues stand watch over endless rows of books and rare manuscript collections.
  • Bryant Park: This is a lovely place to rest your feet and hear some live music if you're lucky.
  • Statue of Liberty: Visit this famous symbol of freedom and take a tour of Ellis Island.
  • American Museum of Natural History: Feed your imagination and your sense of wonder with a visit to this treasure trove of history and science.

New York City is home to world-class chefs and unforgettable shows and nightclubs, so before retiring to your apartment rental or luxury condo, be sure to sample the city's spectacular night life. Even a slice of pizza at a New York City pizzeria can be an experience. Subways and cabs run throughout the night, so there's no need to go to bed early.

New York is an exciting place to visit during every season of the year. For your stay in NYC, book a trendy apartment with stunning views of the river or skyline. If you'd like to be near the action but still surrounded by waterfalls, lakes, and wilderness, search just north of the city to find a quiet villa or one of many charming vacation rental properties in the Hamptons or Finger Lakes wine country. Upstate rental homes are available at very reasonable rates and offer access to the city with the seclusion and beauty of an affordable summer getaway.

Beautiful & Comfortable Apartment in Brooklyn!
" Strongly Suggested"

Nicole received us on behalf of Joseph. Even thou we arrived late she checked us in and made us feel very comfortable. As described, the location was excellent only few minutes walk to the subway and direct line to the major attractions. The apartment was super neat equipped with all the basics. Thou the train station was so nearby but still we could not hear the trains once inside the apartment. Bathrooms were very clean and enough towels and other amenities were available as well. The sofa cum bed was extremely good and two extra blankets and pillows were provided. Just on few steps there was a 24/7 grocery shop located, which was very convenient. However getting a free parking was an issue despite so many lanes around but it could be managed. Secondly the lock on the main door needed to be repaired immediately and lastly due to humidity the rod of the shower curtain kept falling off ! Yes, also there was only one kitchen roll provided and we ran out of it very quickly. Overall, the stay was super, Nicole answered all the queries within no time through What's app and tried her best to ensure our stay is comfortable. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would suggest to stay here during their next visit to New York ! Lastly, Nicole & Joseph needs to re shoot the place, as the photos are not doing justice, the place is much more beautiful ! I have tried to take few more pics, hope they will be helpful for others to select this place.see more

Great Uptown Condo

We were absolutely pleased with this newly renovated condo that was squeaky clean and quiet. It’s locate in a really nice, clean and safe neighborhood with a small grocery store, coffee/donut shop, bus stop, bike rental stand, and a Pizza restaurant, all right outside your door. Central Park is only four blocks away. JT, manager, was very friendly and made himself available during our stay. He meet us upon or arrival, gave us a tour of the condo and made sure we were comfortable prior to him leaving. The best example of his management style, was when I asked him for a floor fan (my wife has MS and is sensitive to heat), he immediately had a window air conditioner installed. Our only negative experience was the three flights of stairs made it somewhat difficult on my wife. Otherwise, we highly recommend staying at this lovely condo. Sam and Susisee more
