“Amazing view and location, new property...bonus” We loved the location, view and proximity to town. The third floor was perfect for entertaining, had a great open kitchen which made it enjoyable to cook for the family. It was well appointed with everything you need. It ha 6 bedrooms, 5 1/2 bath, 2 kitchens, bar, play room, TV in every room, a well needed elevator and a garage. The pool was just an added bonus as we really enjoyed going to the beach daily.

“Amazing condo with exceptional views, beautiful finish out and convenient location.” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The purpose of our trip was twofold, one was for my husband to fish and the other was for me to relax and read. It could not have been more perfect for both. I enjoyed the view and marveled at the constant activity of the boats and ships coming and going right out our window. The lighted pier provided additional entertainment as we watched the Pelicans enjoying their late night meal. I cannot wait to return.

“Unique and Secluded Tropical Island on the Texas Gulf Coast” We were looking for somewhere new to stay in Texas on the Gulf and were going to try Galveston, but luckily we found the Matagorda Dunes Condos on Matagorda Island before we made our reservations. I inquired about the condo and was pleasantly surprised by a phone call from a very friendly and professional owner who gave me information about Condos 1 and 2. We decided to give it a try because I was really impressed with the owner, Kim, and it was a great decision. The condo was super clean, and everything you could possibly need was supplied. The view from both decks was awesome and included the lagoon and the Gulf Coast. You could hear the sound of the waves day and night. The beach is only a few minutes away and it was clean and beautiful. The birds such as the pink Spoonbills, Seagulls, Egrets, and Pelicans could be seen not only from our deck on the lagoon, but also in many numbers on our drives up and down the beach. My husband and I are hesitant to recommend this place because we want to keep it all to ourselves, but that wouldnt be fair to anyone who has not visited this very unique and wonderful island. We cant say enough about how nice the owner Kim is. She was there from day one to all answer questions, and was basically 'on call' the whole time we were visiting there. A plus also were the three restaurants on the island, gift shops, and a grocery store only minutes away from the condos as well. Do yourself a big favor, contact Kim and stay at either of the condos at Matagorda Dunes. You wont regret it, in fact you will count the days until you can return.

“The Cottage at West 1077 = August 2013” We have stayed in Bandera almost every year since 1997 and this accomodation was by far the best we've ever experienced. A delightful, beautifully appointed cottage in the edge of the Hill Country State Natural area and just a short drive from the centre of 'The Cowboy Capital of the World'. The cottage boasts two bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, spacious lounge and even a well appointed kitchenette. The icing on the cake was the lovely porch complete with rocking chairs and table and chairs, perfect for watching the local wildlife and the sun set over the Hill Country. The owners, Mr & Mrs Kirchner, were really friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough for us. They ensured the cottage was topped up with fresh towels and made sure that our stay was as perfect as possible. All in all, we say without hesitation that we have found our Bandera 'home from home' and will visit again (and again)whenever we can. Thank you Mr & Mrs Kirchner, for letting us stay at your wonderful cottage!

“Had a great time at Portofino” We were pleased with our stay at Portofino. The house was very spacious for the 6 of us. The only thing is the walls are so thin you can hear everything, even when someones phone is on the floor upstairs you could hear it vibrate downstairs. And then we ended up with neighbors that packed a whole community into the house next door & they stayed in the pool playing their music til 1:00 & 2:00 in the morning. That was frustrating because we could hear it all. And the rosemary bush in front of the air conditioning unit needs to be trimmed. It's getting a little out of hand since that's the only way guests can come & go. Those are the only few things that any of us complained about. Over all it was a very pleasant stay & the house was decorated really cute.
