Ski in, Gondola out Mountain Thunder Retreat! Best location in Breck!

Breckenridge apartment

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Wonderful property, wonderful property owners.” Could not be more impressed with the property. Wonderful location and place. We were in a bind after another booking agency had us double booked and informed us the day before we were supposed to check in. We contacted the property owners here and they had a last minute opening. After some payment issues with the different booking agency, we came to flipkey and finalized this way. The property owners went above and beyond, spending hours with me to help figure out the plan and uncover the payment issues. Better yet, all of the rental proceeds go to charity. The property owners are great, and so is the property. Beautiful house with everything you need. Hot tub within walking distance, ski-in, ski-out property, town within walking distance, ect. I could go on and on. I highly recommend this place whether you have a family looking for a nice place to stay or a group of friends. Thanks again for everything. Will hopefully get the chance to stay here again.

Vantage Point 101

Vail apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Can't wait to return next year” This is the second time that my friends and I stay at this property, and the experience was great on both occasions. Before our visit, the Prudential staff was very helpful with any help we required. The condo is in great condition as well as the furniture and appliances. The location, which is walking distance from the Lionshead gondola, is one of the property's main assets. One thing to keep in mind, is that the second bedroom is quite small and, in general, there isn't enough storage space for clothes and personal items. I think that this property for a single family with up to three kids.

Vail Secluded Cabin, one of a kind views!

Vail log cabin

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“Lovely, charming and warm cabin!” We had a great time staying at the cabin over Christmas 2012. Ideal for our family (two adults & two children). The cabin has everything you need to be comfortable, well equipped and warm. Nice and quiet place - no impact from I-70, easy to get to the shuttle bus to Vail! Short walk/or drive to supermarket if needed. The kids enjoyed the new snow and had fun rolling and tubing around the hills behind the cabin.

5 Star Ski-in/Ski-Out Condo - Beaver Creek Village

Beaver Creek apartment

2 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Great Spring Break Ski Trip” Our family of four stayed in this condo for spring break in March 2014. The condo was nicely furnished, clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. The master has a large attached bath that makes getting ready a breeze. The guest bedroom is large with two beds which were very comfortable for our children. The other 2-bath (one tub, one shower) is attached to this guest room which is handy when you're trying to get two kids ready at once. The condo is located right in the village just steps from the ice rink and close to several restaurants. It's just a short walk past the ice rink to the escalator that leads to the slopes and ski school. The unit came with a ski locker downstairs which was very convenient. The building also has 24 hour front desk which would come in handy if there were issues, but we had no issues. The concierge was also very helpful in helping us obtain reservations in advance of our trip, and a last minute reservation once we were there. We rented a car for the trip realizing that we might not need it much, and indeed we spent most of the trip in and around the village using the free shuttle the one time we needed it. However, if a car is in your plans the unit comes with underground heated parking. The owner took the time to send us several recommendations for dinner before our arrival. We spent one dinner at Grouse Mountain Grill. We were expecting typical mountain fare, but were very pleasantly surprised with the meal. It's not inexpensive by any means, but definitely worth the trip. The kids menu items were not just afterthoughts but high quality meals. If you're looking for a nice dinner, this is worth a look. We have used Vrbo several times and always are appreciative when the rental is as advertised. We also appreciated the time the owner spent sending us recommendations. Would definitely stay here again.

Downtown Charming Mini-Victorian w/ Garage

Colorado Springs cottage

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Great little getaway.” My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Colorado Springs and it was great to have a nice, clean and comfortable place to spend our evenings following days of "adventure" in the mountains. From Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls and the train ride into the Royal Gorge to quiet evenings at "home" in this well appointed little Victorian cottage . . . wish we could have spent a couple more days. Carrie was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this as a home away from home. The kitchen was well equipped as well as washer & dryer for laundry (neither of which I used), although I had good intentions. LOL! Thanks, Carrie, for your wonderful hospitality. Edwards apartment

“Just Perfect!” Just returned from an excellent experience in this homey and beautifully decorated condo -- right on the river in Edwards. It served as a home away from home to our daughter's grandparents as they enjoyed a "family home" atmosphere during our visit. Every amenity was available in this modern and spacious 2 bedroom condo. I can only hope to have the opportunity to stay here again - communication with the owners is timely and genuine.

“peaceful” Very comfortably furnished, with many amenities. The creek outside of the front door was peaceful and relaxing. Please furnish some comfortable chairs for the porch; as there were none. My family came from Japan and Peru with grandchildren ranging from 17 months, 6 yrs. and two teenagers. We had a grand time cooking breakfast and sitting around the large dining room table. A short walk to the free bus to take us into Vail itself. We liked the privacy and quiet surroundings of our cabin.

“Great location!” What a great trip! Berkshire Hathaway made it so simple to rent from & find the condo. It was absolutely the best location for skiing, walking right out of the condo and you are steps away from the lift & gondala. The condo was in excellent condition and fantastic views from every angle of our corner condo. Lionshead Center had great places to eat and shop. But if you wanted to go to the village, you were steps away from the bus stop. Fantastic!

“Great location” Nice 2bdrm condo at the base of arrowhead. Love arrowhead, not as crowded as Beaver Creek and it is easy to move from Village to Village while skiing. Condo is very convenient to the ski lift. Ski lockers were available just off the garage. Loved the radiant heat floors throughout the condo!! Really liked twin and queen beds in second bedroom.

Rustic and Cute Studio Cabin at Three Rivers Resort in Almont (#7)

“Quaint cottage for a couple!” My daughter and her husband enjoyed cabin #7 very much. Our only regret was there was an error in the reservation process, and they were not able to stay in the cabin for three nights, as had been planned. I will try to communicate our needs more clearly next time. At least accommodations were provided elsewhere for the third night at the resort.

Ignacio house

“A Pleasure” Minutes away from Durango, this spacious abode was a countryside delight. The house was very comfortably appointed, and with owner renovations, no needs or desires were unmet. And had something unexpected happen (nothing did), this couple would have found an answer in a down home minute. They live on the ranch property, but were seldom seen except for an occasional interlude when we sought information about local sights or places to eat in town. We would happily stay there again.

About Colorado

Colorado is home to some of the most unique and mesmerizing terrain in the American west. Only in Colorado will you see vast beige plains transition into flowering fields and graceful red rock formations transform into the giant Rocky Mountain peaks. With a culture that combines the ruggedness of the frontier days with a laid-back modern mentality, Coloradans are a charming breed of Americans and their state is one of the most beautiful and diverse in the continental U.S.

Some of the attractions and activities recommended for visitors to Colorado include:

  • Skiing: World-class locales like Telluride, Aspen and Breckenridge to name but a few, call Colorado home. With sunshine for over 300 days a year and a seemingly endless amount of powder, millions of people ski Colorado every year.
  • Denver: The Mile High City offers cosmopolitan excitement with the welcoming charm of a city half its size. Home to beautiful parks, intriguing museums and galleries, and a bustling nightlife, Denver is an excellent place to base your visit and is an ideal day trip if you're on a ski vacation.
  • Brewery tours: With microbreweries that produce some of the most unique beer in the country, no trip to Colorado is complete without sampling some fresh local suds.
  • Scenic drives: The Independence Pass and the drive to the base of Pike's Peak are two of the most beautiful motor routes in the country.
  • Natural splendor: Colorado national parks, scenic trails, historic sites and forests abound in every corner of the state. Home to popular Colorado camping areas, the state's network of parks and trails offers everything from hiking, fishing and hunting to winter outdoor activities like cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in Colorado.

While the winter is a very popular time to visit for the skiing, Colorado is also a joy during the spring, summer and fall months. From scenic hikes past fields of blooming wild flowers, white water rafting the rapids of the Colorado River and golfing the greens at Vail, Colorado is a playground for the daring.

Renting a cabin or lodge is a great alternative to getting a hotel if you're staying in a rural area or planning a ski vacation. Visitors basing their trips in Denver can get condo-style vacation rentals that are more spacious, private and convenient than major hotel chains.

Colorado borders seven other U.S. states and is the ideal base for a tour of the "Old West." Use the Interstate system to access neighboring Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona or Utah to enrich your experience of this colorful, historic and diverse region of the United States.

Longs Peak Vista Cabin, stay for a month or more!
Awesome!

Absolutely love the cabin! We found that we would rather cook at the cabin and sit on the big porch with the beautiful views rather than sit in a restaurant because it didn't compare to the atmosphere we had while eating at home. The cabin was located close to everything we need ed around Estes Park. The plan was to bring our dogs but we didn't and wish we had. Robin had and A bowl of water 2 dog bones and a blanket for the dogs when we arrived. She also said that she would dog sit if we had ever needed. Next time we come to Estes Park this is definitely number one on our list to try to get.see more

Cozy Cabin, Great Location

This cabin was cozy and comfortable for our little family (2 adults, infant, and dog). It included air conditioning, a comfortable bed and pillows, a good shower, and a nice outdoor space. The location is nice because it is quiet but close enough to things you want to do. During our time there, it was easy to go to breweries and a Rockies game.see more

Fairy tale vacation

We came to Colorado for a funeral. We have a large family and finding a cabin that can accommodate us was a struggle. I looked at this cabin a couple times but was not sure it would work. After much discussion my husband and I decided to rent. Our group grew larger as others came for the funeral and struggled to find a cabin. Cindy was so accommodating answering questions and providing reassurance that the cabin would hold everyone. Cindy even purchased 2 additional twin mattresses so we could have some extras for the kids to sleep on the floors in the rooms. When we arrived at the cabin my jaw hit the floor. It is stunning and twice as big as I had hoped for. There were 2 bedrooms upstairs and a tv room with a pull out couch/bed. The tv room and one of the upstairs rooms had a closet that was big enough to function as a bedroom and 2 or our teens claimed those closets throwing a mattress down and having the privacy that teens crave. The main floor has a huge master bedroom and bathroom with another walk in closet that could easily accommodate a teen on the floor with a twin mattress. We have 8 kids and even with all that room they preferred the bunk house. It was close enough to the cabin that the internet still worked on their phones (very important to a teen) yet far enough away to grant them their feelings of independence. The upstairs had a full and a twin bed and the main floor had a full sized bed. My mom and I were amazed at all the room out there. It really could have been used as a bunk house with beds lining the walls to the upstairs. The room that most of my kids spent their time in was on the main floor. They had a ping pong table set up and my kids spent house playing together. The big porches on the front and back were amazing to sit on and watch the clouds dance over the mountains. There were a few days where they had rain storms in the mountains and it was amazing to see the rain pour down on the different mountains. We ate outside at the big table on the covered porch. We grilled over the fire. They have an amazing fire pit. We did not get a chance to use the smoker but that looked like it could handle a crowd as well. The kitchen is amazing and set up to handle large crowds. There are 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. A kitchen sink and a sink in the pantry. The pantry is bigger than my walk in closet at home and was stocked with many items. With a family our size we prefer to avoid going out to eat on vacation due to the fact that it quickly adds thousands to our trips. The kitchen had all the utensils we could need. This is the first cabin that we have stayed at in Colorado that had large pots and pans. We were able to make a large amount of food in one put instead of using 3 small pans. (Side note we did make pancakes and there was not a griddle and we did use 3 pans to make them) the range had 5 burners and could easily accommodate them all. We are outside for our meals and the big dining room table was converted into a puzzle/ board game table. My kids laughter and teasing echoed through the cabin every night. All of them told me repeatedly that this was the best cabin we have ever stayed in. My 14 year old discovered the basement. There is a recliner and a large tv down there. He would have loved it if we had thrown an air mattress down there and left him to his own devices. We did not but he did spend quite a bit of time down their enjoying to cool quiet that basements provide. My husband told me that there was also an empty chest freezer down there that was plugged in. We could have made freezer meals before we came and kept it all frozen until it was ready to cook. There is a grocery store and multiple fishing spots 10-15 away from the cabin. My 17 year old spent as much time as he could fishing. A 5 day fishing license was only $33 for an out of state resident. There were amazing ice cream shops in town. We would eat dinner at home and then drive into town for desert. I wish I could remember their names but honestly their were multiple ones. We visited the ones that had long lines and they didn’t disappoint. We didn’t get a chance to stop but there was a park with a beach near one of the ice cream shops that looked amazing. We will have to save that for next time. It was an amazing trip and the cabin was done well. There were plates and cups to feed an army. We made generals chicken one night and had to bread and fry the chicken but could not find a utensil to scoop the chicken out of the hot grease and did purchase one but we left it in the drawers so it there ready and waiting for you. Side notes: The horse were so friendly coming to the fence for pets. The hot springs were amazing. The play house is a little girls dream and was named Abbie’s kitchen by our 5 year old. We found a huge moth outside that we thought was a bat. We went panning for gold and found some ;)see more

Great Family Stay

We loved this house for a large family. We had plenty of space and plenty of bedrooms. The location was perfect- not too far from town, but up higher where it was quiet and beautiful. We didn’t get the grill to work, but that was probably the only thing we had any trouble with. We all highly recommend!see more
