“A delightful apartment in the best location and a very easy way” FlipKey and the owner Eric were very easy to deal with and made everything seamless and pleasant. It was clear every step what was expected. When to pay the deposit and the second payment. How to pay was clear and the system worked smoothly. We also knew how much to bring for a security deposit and what currency to use. Eric was gracious and informative when we met him and by email. Australians hear all sorts of horror stories about the size of European rooms and we were delighted at how spacious the apartment was, including the well appointed and set out bathroom. The pictures on the website were accurate and the furniture, fittings and general amenities exceeded our expectations in comfort and standard. It is a home, not a rented apartment. There was plenty of room for luggage which all travellers have. The location is understated. It is so close to Notre Dame, the trains and the tourist buses. It makes you feel like you are right in the middle of Paris. Yet being at the back of the building with a garden it is quiet and peaceful. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops within an easy distance. The taxi rank is right outside the door. I loved the location. I loved that it did not feel like a hotel. I loved that it felt French. It was the perfect experience we wanted. It felt like value for money and I would recommend to anyone and would certainly stay here again.

“Wonderful!” Michele was awesome every step of the way. She communicated clearly from the start and followed through with meeting us at the flat. The studio was just perfect for the two of us. We walked all over Paris from this location and took the metro which is just across the street. There isn't anything you cant get to from here. The studio was quiet at night and the bed is excellent. Everything was perfect. I'd like to stay a month next time!

“Live like a Parisian” I stayed in two of Didier's apartments. The first night we stayed in his one bedroom. This is a decent sized apartment with old Parisian charm such as wood floors. It is a good size for 2 to 4 people (second bed is in living room). The next 4 nights we stayed in his' two bedroom apartment in an adjacent building. It is large and spacious (except for the toilet room and bathroom, which are quite small). One large bedroom looks out onto the main street making it a very bright and cheerful room, but is very quiet because of the double glass door/window used to insulate the sound. The second bedroom is a little smaller and has a window on the inner courtyard of the building. The kitchen is modern and has all of the necessities. The location is on the boarder of the 7th and 15th districts, and a few short blocks from the metro. While the location is not in the center of the tourist areas, I enjoyed the location. Didier was a great host and very helpful. The only negative is both apartments could use a good spring cleaning. There is some mold in the bathrooms, but mostly I would define the dirt as every day living sort of dirt. Bottom line I feel like I got a good sense of what it is like to live in Paris. Thanks Didier.

“Everything we wanted in an apt. and more” This is a lovely ground-floor apartment overlooking a sunny, gated Parisian courtyard complete with trees and flowering plants. We've stayed on Rue Cler and found it overrun with tourists. We wanted to experience a more authentic Paris. We found it. The warm neighbors, the scrumptious bakery next door, and the proximity to public transit also enhanced our stay. The decor is warm, comfortable and inviting--in contrast to the many sterile apartments that we have seen listed on the internet. It feels like a home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would return in a heartbeat.

“Truly Wonderful!” This lovely apartment was everything I imagined it would be.. and more. The location was ideal - within walking distance to all the places we had on our list. The place itself exuded the charm of Paris with modern conveniences and the warm, rich ambience of home. It was wonderful coming back at the end of the day to relax here. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay.

“Fantastique! Mervielleux!” The location can't be beat. We wandered down the street after a long day & I would make a point of hanging out by the entrance pretending it was my home. I'd wait for other tourists to come by & fiddle with my keys etc. We like to keep the windows open at night- noise level? No problem at all & I like to hear the city at night. Bedrooms (& beds) were very quiet & conducive to a good night's sleep. We went out for meals but also cooked. Kitchen was comfortable & it's easy to put a meal together with all the shops down the block. Bottom line: it's extremely comfortable & is such a great alternative to hotels. I think it's the only way to travel now. Beware you may need to get pulled out kicking & screaming- you won't want to leave I assure you.

“Clean, spacious, nice concierge, and so quiet that the mice must” We had a five night stay in this nicely located apartment a block from the Bastile. Madame andré, the concierge was delightful and most helpful with explaining all about the apartment. The apartment was nicely furnished and the couches and bed were comfortable; the TV and all the appliances were all up to date and worked fine. This unit has two bathrooms, both with a stall shower and a toilet, most unusual for a one bedroom unit. The kitchen is fully furnished, though we didn't do any serious cooking; we never could figure out the microwave, but the washer worked fine. We were but two but the hide a bed couch or couches could accommodate more and the unit is so spacious there is plenty of room for four persons easily. There is no street noise whatsoever, this is a quiet place for sleep and relaxing. This is not the Four Seasons or such, but there is real Parisian charm here for those who want it. Superior onion soup in the small café directly across the boulevard. We would stay here again without question should we be able to return to Paris. In summary, our most memorable place to stay in Paris in our several visits. We recommend it without question. The owner is also very communicative and helpful.

“Forget hotels - stay here!” Booked this as a surprise trip after proposing to my now-fiancée and we absolutely loved it. After searching hotel comparison sites and finding tiny rooms anywhere were £250+ per night, I decided to have a look on Homeaway.co.uk. Reviews for this place were great and the pictures looked amazing - as others have said, this is an absolute bargain compared to much more basic hotel rooms. The pictures don't do the apartment justice - it is incredibly luxurious but also comfortable, with everything you could possibly want provided and offered by the owner. Great for a special occasion or just any trip to Paris really! The location is perfect, just minutes from the Champs-Élysées and around the corner from a Metro station. We rarely used the Metro, with the arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Eiffel Tower and arguably Notre-Dame within walking distance. A few handy shops nearby - no bakeries/patisseries were open when I looked but it was Easter weekend... some great restaurants nearby, would particularly recommend Le Boeuf Sur Le Toit (details in the welcome pack provided). We were extremely surprised they didn't have a Michelin star and they were extremely welcoming, not a fussy dress code etc. (P.S. I strongly recommend the châteaubriand!) Other things to note are that the building is extremely secure, the owner is very trustworthy & that every need will be catered for during your stay. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else next time I visit Paris and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. 12 out of 10!

“Superb Paris apartment” I rented this amazing apartment for a week in June for my adult son and I for his Birthday and it just could not have been more ideal. We fell in love with it immediately. He had his own spacious bedroom with ensuite and I enjoyed my fantastic bedroom and marble ensuite and cute little deck where we had our breakfasts overlooking the garden. The kitchen is extremely well equipped but we paid morning visits to Le Notre for pastries & stocked up on a few cheeses and fruits from Monoprix for breakfast and ate out the rest of the time. Ellen showed us our apartment and spent all the time we needed to get acquainted with our new place, she is the best ! We were so lucky to get this ultra clean apartment in a wonderful quiet neighborhood and would not hesitate to stay there again !! A short walk to the end of the block with a glance to the left rewards you with a glorious view of the L'Arc de Triomphe. What's not to like ?

“Great Apartment, Great Location” Newly renovated apartment, and everything worked. Layout worked well for 2 couples. Apartment was clean and fresh on arrival. The manager was helpful and went out of his way to show how all appliances worked and where the supplies were located. One real convenience was that he left supplies - garbage bags, seasonings, sugar, salt, etc, so we did not have to purchase everything! The apartment is just around the corner from a great shopping street - groceries, restaurants, wine shops - everything you need for an enjoyable stay. And the subway/metro is just a few steps out the front door, making for easy travel in inclement weather. Notre Dame and the Louvre are about 10 walking minutes away. Other major museums are a bit further. Note: WiFi was better than we have at home. What a great place!!

“Convenient Funky Apartment” Dealing with Ratif was a pleasure. He did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He even carried our bags to the top floor apt. We are two lady friends in our late 70's and did not find the stairs a problem The location is convenient to two metro stations. The bathroom situation is unique in that the toilet and sink is in one location and tub/shower, bidet and sink is in a different location all w/i the apt. Yes, the kitchen is small, but compact and there was construction going on in the bldg. while we were there. However we left mid morning and didn't usually return until after 3 so we weren't bothered by it. Advance notice should be given to tenants about it though (see another review). We particularly recommend the night tour with Ratif. He did an excellent job of taking us all over the city and was knowledgeable about the areas. I don't know how he timed the last stop at 11 PM to be the Eiffel Tower just as it started blinking. That was brilliant. All in all a pleasurable experience despite the rainy cool weather.

“Paris Champion” We had a great time at the Paris Champion. The apartment was fun and clean, the kids (16,12,9 and 4) all had a blast playing after long days in Paris. The apartment is close to the metro and we used the guides provided to find food for the whole family to eat at. Thanks for a great adventure.

“I would stay again, and again, and again...” great to walk to so many things.I walked with my 2 children (2yr and 5yr) to notre dame, got icecream, watched the happenings along the river, listened to buskers and bought pastries. easy from here. metro is across the road and a 3 min walk away. There are great jewish historical sights close by.Kids little playgrounds in v short walking distance.(ask the lovely lady on level 1-she has children).2 supermarkets close by. It is on a main road which is busy at different times of day but it is not noisy in the unit unless you leave all the windows open. Really large apartment! So not Paris in size! Very paris in character. Lovely doors and paris windows. New kitchen with all the modern conveniences. washing machine in laundry (what a blessing when travelling with kids!) There actually is a third room somewhat like a change room which we kept all out messy luggage in. My only concern was the lovely old polished floors-they are a bit creaky and I thought the people downstairs would get annoyed with my loud running children, but they never did! (he is the apartment owners brother so probably more patient than most, and he has kids too.) Honestly you cant go wrong with this choice, the space is worth it-especially if you have kids or travelling with friends. The apartment is on a line that goes easily to the louvre, arc de triumph, champs elysees etc... but you basically need to make changes to go anywhere else eg airports. You get used to that though. Always have french coin on you - the metro machines dont take notes or foreign credit cards-thats really annoying about paris. Summary-we really felt like we were living in paris not visiting it! The friendly family environment (ie neighbours), the beautiful building, the awesome space... It really did add up to a delightful time in paris. Bertrand was easy to deal with, always prompt and polite in his correspondence. His family that live in the building are lovely too. I would reccomend you stay here... It's great!
