“My family enjoyed your beautiful cabin.” The service was great! Whenever we had questions the owner responded very quickly and was accessible our entire stay. The cabin was beautiful and kid friendly, the kid's domain with all the bunks beds was a great idea. The layout was perfect for our family. We have stayed in quite a few cabins, and this particular cabin suited the needs for our entire family. Love the view from every room. The bedding was so cozy, fresh, and clean. Just a reminder for house cleaning, check the ovens each time, the bottom of the oven had grease in it. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and our entire family enjoyed our stay. We will definitely come back and stay at this cabin.

“Rainy nights in Georgia” The Chatham square apartment was a beautiful sight to enter on the night of arrival. It was raining but the apartment welcomed us just like home. It is beautifully decorated with plenty of warmth to feel cozy. The service was the best of any service we have used. Joy was available for any questions and stopped by to see if we needed anything. The location was great. We walked from River Street back home with ease. Being able to have a free lunch at Mrs. Wilkes was one of the highlites of our trip. The Crystal Beer Parlor is the closest restaurant. It has fantastic burgers. It has a family atmosphere. Another place we enjoyed was Bub-A-Que's. Best pulled pork I've ever had. Leopoldo's ice cream was great too. If we ever are blessed to come back we would stay here again. This home is great too because the bed slept great too with fine linens. We also were able to wash our clothes before moving on. We decided to rent a car, so it was an added bonus that we had our own parking space.

Architect-Renovated Garden Home w/ Stunning Details by Lucky Savannah

Savannah apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Modern but comfortable space in Historic District” This place was perfect for our 4 day spring break stay with our 5 and 9 year old boys. The basement apartment was TOTALLY renovated, comfortable couches and full kitchen made it easy to chill between outings. The park with giant playground and open fields for soccer was only 2 blocks away. Parking was available in front of the unit everyday, coffee shop and Harris Teeter on same block. Didn't hear a peep of noise after dark. The unit has access right to the super cute backyard. River Street not walking distance but only 3 minute drive, probably would have done a pedi taxi if didn't have the kids. Randomly found the Savannah Wildlife Refuge which has a 3 mile drive where you can see gators from safely of your car which was a great outing the day it rained. Tybee Island was great for renting bikes and the funky but yummy Crab Shack is a must see. After much research this unit with space, renovations and location was well priced in comparison with a hotel room for same amount of money.

Historic Home with Modern Upgrades; Urban Getaway by Lucky Savannah

Savannah cottage

1 bedroom / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 2

“Beautiful renovated historic home right in the heart of downtown” We loved this home! It is set on a courtyard which is beautiful for having your morning coffee outside. The decor is beautiful and the kitchen was awesome. My favorite part, though, was the rain shower upstairs. So luxurious! Everything was very clean. Our only complaint is that there were a bunch of little sugar ants running around on any furniture that was pushed up against the wall, and also on the bathroom counter. We had to make sure to keep food and drinks away from there. The location is unbeatable! We were surprised at how close we were to everything downtown. Just a block from Forsyth Park, and a few blocks from all the main dining and shops. We loved walking around and exploring the area. We had a little trouble figuring out which door/lockbox was ours, but we called the customer service line and someone was able to assist us. The only downside to staying downtown is that there was no provided parking, so we had to figure out the metered parking for each day. All in all it was a good stay!

“Perfect place just off the beach” Family reunion for 11 cousins. 6 bedrooms were perfect for 4 couples and 3 singles. 4 baths worked out great. Large gathering area and porch where you could see some of the ocean and sunrise. Parking for 4 was easy. We walked all over and rode bikes. Ate at several local places and only a 25 minute ride to Savannah.

The Summit-4 Master Suite Luxury Cabin

Blue Ridge log cabin

4 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Loved our stay at the Summit” The Summit is a great get away. It is very private, being at the to of the mountain. The house is beautiful and very clean. It has everything that you need to make your stay pleasant. Everything in the house works. This was our second trip to the house. The owners are great people and a pleasure to work with. We have already rented for our next stay from the same people and will continue to do so as long as we need to rent a cabin.

THE PERFECT ATLANTA GUESTHOUSE RENTAL

Atlanta house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Southern Comfort” From the moment we opened the doors, we fell in love with The Welcome Farm! The house is imacculate and there was enough room to house our troop of 7. The grounds are also well kept and beautiful. Our children had more than enough space to run and play, there is an outdoor deck and grill plus a lower level patio, both are furnished nicely. The home was quite comfy; a home away from home for us. But most memerable of all was Katherina's warmth and kindness, she was so very accommodating, showing care and concern at every turn without ever infringing on our privacy! The Welcome Farm is quite appropriately named :)

Private Pool Home- 3 BR- Located Close to Beach & Village

Saint Simons Island house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Perfect base for a family holiday” We have rented many holiday homes in various countries and this was far and away the best. The location is convenient for the beach and the village (being mad English people, we even walked to both in the noonday sun!), and the layout of the house is very spacious and comfortable. The pool was the kids' favourite feature (no surprises there) but for me it was the little extras--the beach towels, chairs and umbrella all provided; the toys and floats for the pool; the laundry cupboard with detergent provided; and the extremely well equipped kitchen including a fully stocked dried herb rack! The owner (Linda) is very professional, friendly and easy to work with.

About Georgia

This historic state holds endless amounts of Southern charm in its grassy rolling plains and Victorian plantations. Between the haunted cottages of Savannah, the unofficial "capital of the South," Atlanta, and the refined shores of Tybee Island, Georgia is a state that is coming of age. And, in the northeast corner of Georgia, the hiking mecca of the United States, the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, begins.

If you're visiting Georgia, here are some of the most common activities, attractions and adventures waiting for you:

  • Atlanta: The "rock of the South," Atlanta sits in the western region of the state, slowly spreading her reach further and further out. But while the city grows, it manages to retain a regal sense of elegance, and is home to major attractions including the CNN Center, Centennial Olympic Park, the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and dozens of world-class museums, galleries and restaurants.
  • The Golden Islands: These islands are deeply rooted in colonial Spanish history, which has been masked by the dominance of Victorian-era architecture. The buzzing marshes and flickering lighthouses of the Golden Islands are the perfect backdrop for some relaxation.
  • Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge: Forests and swamps dominate this uniquely southern nature preserve, which was founded in 1936 and houses an astonishing range of flora and fauna, particularly rare birds.
  • Stone Mountain: This is the largest exposed dome of granite rock on the continent, and is a unique attraction well worth the short trip from Atlanta.
  • The Blue Ridge Mountains: Home to some of the best Georgia camping, the Blue Ridge Mountains in northeastern Georgia are equally idyllic and awe-inspiring.

There is also a wide range of family-oriented activities to enjoy; there are many amusement parks in Georgia and water parks in Georgia that are perfect for whiling away a summer's day. Eight of the thirteen Georgia National Parks are located in the western half of the state and are easily accessible from Atlanta.

Georgia is located in what is considered a "subtropical" region, and it features mild winters and long summers. Spring and autumn are also considered excellent times of year to visit, with pleasant temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

For your vacation rental, consider a condo if you're staying in Atlanta or any of the state's other major cities or a cabin rental if you're exploring rural areas and nature preserves. These options are less crowded than hotels, and offer more privacy for couples, families and groups.

If you want to explore more of the American South, head into neighboring Florida, Alabama or Tennessee. The Carolinas also border Georgia, and all these destinations are easily accessible on the Interstate highway system.

Rabun Retreat
A gem in Georgia

A little gem in Clayton, Georgia! The house is comfortable and nicely furnished, easy access to the town and the owner/property manager was very responsive with any questions. The only con was sharing one bathroom with 4 people, which wasn’t really difficult but adding a mirror to the master bedroom would help. We fully enjoyed the fire pit, and enjoyed our stay! Thanks Heather!see more

Adorable Old Bear Lodge on Acreage/Chestatee River/Only 10 Minutes to Dahlonega
As close to heaven as I have ever been.

Without a doubt, this is the perfect place to let stress just dissipate , relax and get back to a simple life. We loved it so much that we are coming back in April of 2023 instead of booking a European River Cruise. The cabin was beautifully appointed with all of the creature comforts and we hiked down to the barn and creek twice a day with the dogs to give apples to Lily, the horse. A massive Walmart is just minutes away and has anything you could need. We drove in to the Bavarian style town of Helen and had a wonderful time experiencing the German food and also into Dahlonega where quaint little restaurants are dotted all along the circle. But our favorite spot was back at the cabin. We relaxed on the outdoor deck, grilled steaks and just marveled at the changing leaves. Internet was strong but I never turned my computer on. We watched a couple of movies but mostly just relaxed. This is a true "getaway".see more
